AOMT new myofunctional therapy courses, standards, & AAMS Congress 2017

2016 has already been an explosive year and 2017 will be transformational for myofunctional therapy.  We are proud to be a sponsor of the 2nd AAMS Congress, March 1-5, 2017 in Chicago (early-bird registration is open), to have played a role in the Asian Pediatric Pulmonary Society adopting OMT as a standard for pediatric OSA, and to be facilitating more research than ever (we have relations with 40+ universities and growing).

Our 1st “Comprehensive Frenulum Inspection Workshop”  created such demand we have just announced our 2nd for January 13-15, 2017 in Los Angeles!   It will be a groundbreaking course in for all interested in frenum inspection and the consequences of an altered lingual frenulum.  Irene Marchesan PhD (President of the Brazilian Speech Society, architect of Brazil’s Frenum Inspection Law, AAMS Board Member) will present in detail a medically validated frenulum inspection protocol for infants and a protocol for adolescents & adults (with validation being finalized).  Live frenum surgeries will be demonstrated and frenum surgery will be reviewed by for all participants.

The Academy of Applied Myofunctional Sciences (AAMS, an international scientific and membership society for myofunctional therapy) has opened registration for its 2nd Congress, March 1-5, 2017 co-chaired by Christian Guilleminault, Irene Marchesan, and Maria Pia Villa.  The central symposium will be “Sleep Disordered Breathing & Craniofacial Growth & Development:  Early Intervention and Patient Outcomes.”  60+ speakers will focus on frenotomy standards of care, orthodontic stability, orofacial pain/TMD, screening tools, public health, and much more.  Please join us for this historic gathering that will surely catalyze our field and inspire all who are present.
